We love our newest warm-weather base, Linden Sport. And, the Summer Cowl, Two Ways nods to all the best features of this yarn! Knit the cowl in seed stitch for crisp texture that shows off the structured drape of the silk and linen--or go for sporty stripes and knock out a quick-to-knit two-color dream with just a hint of cashmere halo! It’s knitter’s choice.

Sport-weight yarn, or the equivalent:
Textured cowl: 180 yds / 165 m in one color
Striped cowl: 90 yds / 82 m in C1; 90 yds / 82 m in C2

Shown in Plucky Knitter Linden Sport (50% silk, 30% linen, 20% cashmere; 295 yds / 270 m per 100g): Textured cowl: 1 skein in color Cosmopolitan; striped cowl: 1 skein each in colors Pepper (C1) and Dovetail (C2)

US 6 (4 mm) needles, or size needed for gauge

Locking markers and a tapestry needle.

Gauge

Textured cowl: Approx. 14 sts / 28 rows = 4” / 10 cm in seed st, blocked
Striped cowl: Approx. 14 sts / 28 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette st, blocked

Notes
Both versions are knit flat from the bottom up. A short seam sewn once knitting is done creates the cowl shape.
