Plucky Knitter, Inc. (“us,” “we,” or “our”) is a family-run business located in Hastings, Michigan U.S.A., dedicated to creating hand-dyed yarns in unique, one-of-a-kind artisan colors on custom luxury bases. We operate the website www.thepluckyknitter.com and the Plucky Knitter mobile application for iOS and Android. For convenience, our website and mobile application may both be referred to in this privacy policy as the “Site.” The Site allows our customers to purchase our yarns and patterns and subscribe to our newsletter. We also conduct email messaging, marketing programs, contests, or sweepstakes on our Site (“Promotional Programs”).
We respect your privacy and want to protect your personal information. Please read this privacy policy to learn more.

We collect personal information on our Site and through our Promotional Programs. This privacy policy applies to our collection of personal information by those means. But it does not apply to retail-partner websites linked to the Site, including Ravelry (www.ravelry.com), Instagram (www.instagram.com), and PayPal (www.paypal.com). In addition, we have a Facebook page. These websites are not owned or operated by us or under our control (except for certain content that we may provide to Ravelry and Facebook). Ravelry, PayPal, and Facebook have their own privacy policies. Additionally, your use of the Site is subject to our Terms & Conditions of Use, including its choice of law, damages limitation, and dispute resolution provisions.
Privacy and Security
Except as described in this policy or as otherwise required by law, we will not sell or disclose your personal information to anyone. Personal information includes your contact information and other personal information required to process your orders or request services from us so that we can provide you with products or services. We also communicate with you to answer your questions related to those products and services and send you marketing materials, subject to applicable laws and this privacy policy.

► When you order products on our Site, we collect additional personal information, including your name, address, and “ship-to” name and address, if different than your name and address. Offline Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Information
As you might expect, most of information that we collect is obtained through the Site, and this privacy policy applies only to that online collection of personal information. We also try to protect the privacy of your personal information that we may collect offline. One example involves someone calling us for help in placing an order or to ask questions. When that happens, we will ask only for the personal information that we need to assist in placing the order or answer the question. When we need to store information, we will enter it into our database through SSL encryption (see Data Security above for more information). There are other ways we could learn of personal information offline (for example, someone could send us a letter that includes return address information), and this privacy policy doesn’t discuss or try to predict all of those methods. But we’ll try to treat offline collection, use, and disclosure of personal information consistently with our online practices.
International
Your personal information may be stored and processed in the U.S. or any other country in which we or our service providers maintain facilities. By using the Site‚ you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of your country of residence‚ including the U.S.‚ which may have different data protection rules than in your country. What About the Privacy Rights of Children?
Just like you, we’re especially aware of children’s privacy issues. We know that parents are justifiably concerned about their children’s activities online and what’s being done with the information they reveal.
