Starburst Tee
Starburst Tee is the perfect top to knit up fast for warmer weather or to layer under a sweater or jacket. It’s simple elegance with a lacy sunburst at the top. Picture it over a linen skirt, shorts, summer pants, or your favorite jeans. The lace at the wide neckline is much easier than it looks. And the hybrid yoke gives you the best of both worlds – it starts with the circular method for ease in working the lace and transitions into raglan seams for superior fit (and the ability to raise your arms without exposing everything!). Construction is top-down and in the round in a completely seamless manner so that you can try it on and have no surprises at the end. Plus, there is no finishing to be done except for weaving in a few ends.
The neckline finish is worked first and in a way that provides structure to keep it from stretching out. Short rows lower and shape the front neck (by raising the back neckline) and short rows also optionally provide for an angled hemline for a bit of added length in the back. The angled hemline is flattering on many figure types and makes for comfortable wearing. Sleeves can easily be made longer. This design will look great in any yarn that meets gauge and has good drape and decent stitch definition.

Reminders about hand-dyed yarn:
- We work hard to obtain the most accurate colors in the photographs we show on the website. However, every computer has different monitor settings. For this reason, we cannot ensure that the colors all monitor's display will exactly match the color of the yarn.
- Because our hand-dyeing process is as much of an art as it is a science, we may not be able to reproduce a colorway exactly the same as it may be pictured or match it from one dye lot to another.
- We strongly recommend alternating skeins on any project that uses more than one skein of the same color to ensure random color distribution.
- While we do our best to ensure colorfastness in our yarns, a small amount of color transfer is not uncommon. We highly recommend spritzing or steam blocking your knits to avoid colorway bleeding. For more info on caring for your knits check out our Care Instructions.
