Skies of November
Often times when we think of November, we picture gloomy clouds, mostly bare trees, and the inevitable snowy days to follow. But then there are those gorgeous days when the most beautiful moody blue skies appear!
Now you can enjoy this lovely, broody hue all year long as we present Skies of November as a fitting Color of the Month!
Skies of November is a moody blue that leans towards the aqua family, while having a slight wash of grey throughout to really capture, well, the skies of November.
We have chosen a few bases that make this color really shine! We've also added a few kit options featuring this color in the Quick Knit Kits shop!
60% Yak, 40% Cashmere
This luxury base makes for a cozy yet lightweight fabric. The yak and cashmere combine to provide a soft and very warm material. Use for garments, hats, neckwear. Also a great choice for colorwork.
US 8-10 (5.0-6.0mm), 7 WPI *gauge is individual, please remember to swatch
75% SW Merino, 25% Cotton
Perfect for summer knits. The Superwash merino content provides warmth and structure to your knit. However, the cotton will make your knit still breathable. The colors will be slightly heathered due to the cotton content, just like your favorite tee. Perfect for hats, neckwear, and sweaters.
US 5-7 (4.5-5.5mm), 14 WPI *gauge is individual, please remember to swatch
75% Super-Wash Merino, 20% Cashmere, 5% Nylon
The fabric this base makes is so luxurious! This base has a nice round twist along with a generous amount of cashmere. The Merino content makes it a great option for colorwork, texture, cables and lace. It has the perfect amount of drape when used for shawls and garments.
Colors will appear slightly softer than a 100% merino because of the cashmere content, but still vibrant.
US 1-3 (2.25-3.25mm), 22 WPI *gauge is individual, please remember to swatch
