These last couple of weeks of the year are always a little crazy for most, reflecting back on the year and wrapping up year-end details. We’re busy at the studio doing just that, wrapping up 2014 and looking ahead with anticipation to the new year. We hope you’ll join us at our blog on Sunday for a Plucky party – the last update of the year – featuring not one, but TWO kit options AND pre-orders for your favorite colors and bases. AND for our friends near and far, it’s a two-part update – Sunday evening and Monday morning!
This will be the inaugural pre-order blog update since the launch of our new website this week. We’re very excited (and maybe a little twitchy!?)! If you haven’t seen the new website yet, please have a look around and maybe you’ll find a few Plucky Swag items in our shop (they are ready-to-ship and we’re offering free shipping on the swag!!)! Here’s a quick peek at what will be available on Sunday and Monday with more in depth details below:
4-skein kits for Hayley’s Comet: Thank you so much for the excitement for our latest pattern release! We love the possibilities with this one! You’ll have 9 color combination options and 1 mystery option in your choice of Bello Fingering, Primo Fingering, Feet, and Oxford
Saugerties kits: You’ve seen a sneak peek in the Plucky group and we are so excited to offer this cozy shrug from Jill aka Knitterella! You’ll have 10 color combinations to choose from in Plucky Scholar
Pre-orders in your choice of 10 bases & 25 colorways!
Here are a few more details about each of the offerings coming up on Sunday!:
Hayley’s Comet was released in Ravelry earlier this week and we are so excited to offer you 10 different pre-order kit options across the Plucky fingering-weight bases! This asymmetrical triangle is a fun and easy knit with so many color possibilities. The resulting shawl reminded us of the tail of a comet, thus the name, and wraps just right around your neck or shoulders and will be perfect for keeping away the winter chill. The pattern is available as a separate purchase via Ravelry.
It’s no secret that Plucky loves how Jill has married her passions for graphic design and knitting! She has us smitten with her latest design, Saugerties Shrug. A bold, geometric motif adorns the edge of this oversized and o-so-cozy shrug. Knit in Plucky Knitter’s luscious Scholar, this worsted weight design is a pleasure to knit and wear! Saugerties is a one-size shrug using 6 skeins of Scholar – 4 of the main color and 2 of the contrasting color. We are offering 10 color combinations on Scholar for you to choose from! The pattern PDF will be emailed to you within 24-48 hours after the update and will be a Plucky exclusive until April 20, 2015. For these Saugerties Shrug kits only, Jill has included a bonus pattern, the Saugerties Hat! With the leftover Scholar from the shrug, you’ll be able to make this cute hat to match. A perfect set! One caveat about Saugerties kits…we are currently low on Scholar and more is en-route so Saugerties kits will ship separately and later than your Hayley’s Comet and other Pre-Order items from this update. Saugerties can be expected to ship mid-February if all goes according to plan.
Good Ole Pre-Orders!
We simply couldn’t call it an end-of-the-year party on the Blog without offering a plethora of choices for pre-order! We’ll be offering the following 10 bases in 25 colorways!:
Cashmere (limited amount)
Snug Worsted (this base will also be delayed slightly – we’re in the same boat with Snug Worsted as we are with Scholar)
Seth has been hard at work, prepping the blog with all of the buttons and options. We’ve featured a few of the color options here but for the latest, up-to-date colorways and kit combinations available for this update, come visit us in our Ravelry group in the Update News thread and New and Announcements thread.
We look forward to seeing you Sunday, 12/21/14 at 8:00 p.m. and Monday, 12/22/2014 at 9:00 a.m. at the Plucky Blog! Orders from this update (with the exception of Saugerties Shrug kits and SNUG Worsted) will begin shipping January 29, 2015.
