Texture. Raveled.

Oscar, where have you and your brilliant pseudo-shampoo been all my life?

Pursuit of Love and Love In A Cold Climate
Smack under the category of ‘not so much’ is this nasty sight. Alas, February in Michigan, what are you going to do?

First snow of the season – that’s always exciting. Love snow in December. Snow in March, that an entirely different beast. But for now, it’s pretty and I love it!

Won’t be seeing open water for long!

How cute are those little holly berries?

Have some extra help at the studio today……. Say hi to Mary and Amber! Couldn’t have done it without them. Could Not.

Of boots, heels, sneakers, slippers….

Pippa Patent Peep Toes ~

Stacked Smoke Heels ~
Somehow I’m thinking patent peep toes (though any dye splats would wipe right off!) or smokey gray suede (oh, the horror of a dye stain!) aren’t very well suited to knocking around the studio. But, oh, aren’t they snazzy?

Winding Ruffle Boots ~
Still not very functional studio wear…. but with jeans…. a skirt and tights or a dress and tights (not that I wear those to the studio either). But, boots. For the love of boots these are gorgeous!
But, after a long day of dyeing all I can really think about is something more along the lines of this….

Can you tell I’m already tired, just thinking of the day ahead?
Wishing you all cozy comfy feet.

Recently I spoke about my apprehension and then conversion to the ever humble and lovely shawl/shawlette. Of course, you still won’t ever see me wearing it the old fashioned way (fantastic for others, just not my cuppa tea) but you will see me with them bunched up around my neck or haphazardly about my shoulders. They’re just so much more interesting a knit than a regular scarf and something special about they way the huge the neck/shoulder area.
Now, the latest addition to the shawlbutnotwornasashawl aresenal:
- The Boneyard Shawl
- Plucky Knitter 6ply Cashmere
- Raveled.

The past week and this next week promise to be a crazy one. Plucky Classics will be shipping out in waves starting tomorrow, Monday, September 28th through Wednesday the 30th and also on Tuesday and Wednesday will be last minute preparations for my trip to Seattle. Wait? What? Didn’t I tell you? Oh, this is exciting….. if you are in the Seattle area on Sunday, October 4th, there will be a Plucky Knitter Trunk Show at Churchmouse Yarns & Teas from 12:00 to 5:00. The wonderful ladies at Churchmouse and I would love to see you! There will be cashmere as far as the eye can see! And, of course, other fun yarns too. But, you know, we are coming into full-on cashmere season!
Then upon my return I’ll have a little yarn related announcement….. stay tuned.

Two weeks since my last post?!? Well that’s no good. No good at all. But, I have some knitting to show…..
Out of hibernation (started way back in February and stopped mid-torso) is another Francis Revisited. This is such a great little sweater pattern (I can’t say enough good things about it. As I said, it’s simple, but the results are so very wearable and you can customize to your exact specifications). Grabbed it out of hibernation about a week ago and finished the torso and cowl in one day and then the two sleeves the next. Done. All in all, the sweater took roughly a week to knit (FANTASTIC t.v. knitting).

Raveled.
This means I need another sweater to knit! Are you a sweater knitter? Do you have grand plans to knit one (or more!) this Fall? Tell me about them, I’d love to hear. You know, I think I just made up a contest! Tell me what your Fall knitting plans are and they surely don’t have to be sweaters, nope, not at all, sky is the limit!
So, comment away and I’ll draw names for, what else, yarn of course! I’ll keep comments open until Thursday, August 27th at Midnight Eastern. Can’t wait to here what you all have planned – you are a crazy talented bunch!

I’m so loving all your comments/suggestions. If you haven’t read through the comments for the contest you simply must – some fantastic suggestions to be had. Just a reminder that the contest runs through Sunday, June 28th.
Also, I’m quite sure I mentioned this before, but because it’s just so fun and the finished projects are amazing, I wanted to remind you of the Knit-Along we’re having over at the Plucky Group on Ravelry. Not only is it a festive and welcoming group, it’s a wealth of information for all things Plucky Yarn related as well as just about anything you’d ever want to know (book recommendations galore, pattern help, more food recommendations, garden tips, travel… the list goes on)! Won’t you join us?
One more thing, for those of you that have inquired – sign-ups for Plucky Classics will be tomorrow, Thursday, June 25 at Noon Eastern.
