Oops – tomorrow turned into a couple extra days there didn’t it?

Well, I promised you some more accessory suggestions didn’t I? First up is the Plucky Curacao Cowl from Thea Colman (a.k.a. Babycocktails). Using just two skeins of Plucky Merino SW Worsted…. well, let me let Thea explain:

“The cowl is knitted as a long ribbed piece and sewn into a simple smocked design at the end. The detailed design is a nice balance to the soft and chunky cabled edges of the cowl, and I love how it looks in the yarn, which is the perfect weight and softness for neck wrapping.”

One can never have too many cowls I say. They are endlessly versatile, make great gifts, are quick projects and a great way to use up a skein or two of special yarn.

I’m saving her other lovely pattern for another post. They’re both so special they each deserve their own post.

Shot In The Dark – Primo!

Oh, and guess what?! Great big behemoth of a sneak-up tomorrow, Monday, August 23rd, starting around 9:00 a.m. Eastern and going through the day. It’s the last full week of August and I’ve got Fall on the brain. When you see the colors popping up, I think you will see what a raging case of ‘Fall Fever’ I have going on – I’m obsessed with the golds, browns, rusts, reds and greens of Fall. Of course there will also be a hefty dose of grey, purples, plums, magenta’s, pink, blues and more. Hope to see you there!

Good news!!! Primo is making its debut in an update tomorrow, Thursday, July 22 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern. I’ll be listing a nice little amount of Primo – the new custom Plucky blend (75.20.5 Merino Cashmere Nylon) as well as some really fun sweater quantities and other cashmere goodies as well as more fingering weights.

Oh, before I forget, there’s a little thing called Free Shipping on the entire update. A little Primo unveiling celebration. Seems appropriate, don’t you think?

It’s a sneak-up! Beginning tomorrow, Friday, July 9th (bright and early-ish – say around 9 or so Eastern time) and going through the day. Lot’s and lot’s of fun stuff – sale skeins, the return of our beloved cashmere (2ply, 4ply, a wee bit of 8ply) as well as the cashsilk 2ply and 6ply (DK), some sweater quantities and more.

Tangled yarn. It happens. Boy does it ever happen. With alarming frequency…… but, more often than not, we’re able to get it get it back on the straight and narrow. However, there are times when we just can’t bear to face another tangled skein and, well, some of you live to untangle yarn and I live to serve! It just wouldn’t be nice of me to keep it all to myself!

Tangled times like these call for reinforcements. My reinforcements of choice today are dark chocolate and roasted almonds. Tell me, what are your go-to treats? Things are beyond green in our neck of the woods – it almost feels like we’re living in Sherwood Forest. So, it’s fitting that I just finished a Wandering the Moor shawl in Plucky Merino Lite. It’s blocking as I type – pictures to come soon. Already, I’m dreaming of another shawl in the Plucky MCN Lite (especially since Shelbie’s made it pretty clear she wants another scarf/shawl – she’s very persuasive) maybe something a little more vibrant, or broody. Depending on how much coffee I’ve consumed, that is.

It’s time for an update! Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 9th, beginning early-ish in the morning, continuing through the entire day. The update will feature a nice variety of items, including more repeatable sweater listings. I’m finding it to be a nice way to ensure people are getting enough for larger projects. Over the next several weeks I hope to be adding at least three more repeatble colors… just a little FYI.
