Of boots, heels, sneakers, slippers….

Pippa Patent Peep Toes ~

Stacked Smoke Heels ~
Somehow I’m thinking patent peep toes (though any dye splats would wipe right off!) or smokey gray suede (oh, the horror of a dye stain!) aren’t very well suited to knocking around the studio. But, oh, aren’t they snazzy?

Winding Ruffle Boots ~
Still not very functional studio wear…. but with jeans…. a skirt and tights or a dress and tights (not that I wear those to the studio either). But, boots. For the love of boots these are gorgeous!
But, after a long day of dyeing all I can really think about is something more along the lines of this….

Can you tell I’m already tired, just thinking of the day ahead?
Wishing you all cozy comfy feet.

That’s how fast this knit was! Voila! A kicky new beret for a kicky new brunette~
This has to be the fastest knit. Ever. Knit this while waiting for lace club to cook today. If I stop and add it all up, it took about 2 hours to knit. Maybe not even that long (basing this on the fact that it was knit while Young Frankenstein was playing in the background. Can I also just say how much I love Teri Garr and Madeline Kahn in this movie? Hilarious!).
Anyway, the hat took just 83g of the 12ply cashmere. So, about a skein and a half. If you have three skeins you’d have enough for two hats! Or a hat and matching Toast!

It’s a little disconcerting to see your always and forever blonde daughter (as in blonde from day one) with dark hair, but I think it suits her quite nicely. I admit – I was a total skeptic and may have, in fact, told her that I fully expected her hair to end up the color of the beret I’ve just knit for her. But, instead, the hat ended up being the perfect topping to her new brunette ‘do.

Raveled.
