Two days. Two finished objects.
Shocking, I know. OK, I’ll wait while you pick yourselves up off the floor.

What a sport Mr. P is - modeling Felicity for me. Though, I imagine if I would have told him the name of the pattern he would have politely refused. Shhh. We won’t tell him.
- Pattern: Felicity
- Yarn: Plucky Knitter Merino Superwash Worsted
- Needles: Size 6 and 8
Followed pattern as written, except went up a needle size. It was coming out more toddler sized, as opposed to something more suitable to a teen/adult, but going up a needles size did the trick.

The droop is just right.
Big thunderstorm went through last night - woke to **gasp** no power. So decided to go stash diving and found fun handspun from Crumbs and a skein of pink cashmere from Posh. Cast on 76 sts and used size 9 (5.5mm) needles. Once I decided on yarn, neeldes, etc. took about four hours. Had our power not gone out in the middle of the night I would certainly not have finished a cowl today, in addition to Felicity yesterday (amazing how much knitting, reading, cleaning, etc. you can actually get done when you aren’t browsing mindlessly and hitting the refresh button…but, I digress).
Hope everyone had a lovely, relaxing weekend. Thank you for visiting my sale. Don’t forget… free shipping on anything and everything through midnight tonight, Tuesday at Noon.

All figured out….. super kudos to Amanda! Being the information and organization queen that she is has solved the paypal address problem. Apparently, the automatic default when you go in to your subscription is no payment address required.
If each person could go into their subscription (which you can get to by logging in to your paypal account, viewing your history and bringing up the last payment made to me for Plucky Classics and then it will bring up all the subscription details). At the very bottom it lists subscription address….and gives two preferences….ship to - which has the address linked to the paypal on file - and no shipping address required. All you need do is hit the button to the ship to and update info. Then it’s done and I will be able to now get everyone’s address.
Thank you in advance for your attention to this. If you would be so kind as to make the update as soon as possible it will make this months shipment go soooo much easier!

Finally. The beginning of Summer. It’s about time, don’t you think?
Look how content he is. He’s been waiting such a long time to lay in the sun.
You guys really know how to make a girl feel special. Thank you so very much for all the best wishes and hearty atta girls I’ve received. What a scarry, scarry thirll it is. I’ve been spending the first few days of my new life just getting settled. Organizing (so needed it). Cleaning (It was embarassing, really). Making lists (lots and lots of lists). Making plans. Do I ever have some fun things in store - just you wait and see!
I think this is as good a reason as any to have a big fat sale and free shipping, don’t you? Free shipping on anything and everything (no minimum order) until Monday at midnight. And, I’ve put a bunch of skeins on sale in the shop.

Lipstick Jungle - Merino Single Ply Fingering

Mamie - Merino Single Ply Fingering
Now, off to needle felt. Picked up this darling little kit at Village Yarn and Tea while I was in Seattle last February. He’s been waiting patiently for me to, well, felt the daylights out of him so he resembles a penguin.
Hope everyone has a warm, safe, relaxing and enjoyable weekend……..

Do you spy a spindle? Why yes you do! Stay tuned…..
Has it really been a week? I certainly didn’t intend for all that time to pass without popping in to say “Hey there. How’s things?” Well, a big week it has been. Let’s re-cap:
- I quit (several weeks ago) my day job and had my last day at the Firm this past week.
- Plucky Girl passed her drivers test and drove, all by her lonesome, to her cousins house and her job at the coffee shop. Oy. FYI - she’s doing a great job. But.Still. Oy.
- Been obsessivley perusing Ravlery and decided that I must knit this. And, will have time now (see item number 1), imagine that!!!
- Of course, it goes without saying that I have been dyeing. And dreaming up the next installment of Plucky Classics. And pattern ideas (I’m just an idea person, I leave the big pattern writing to the professionals). Speaking of professionals…..Have you seen Confection, Kirsten’s latest pattern (boy can she churn out some real beauties!)? I have one other skein of Pout available along with some other skeins of the MCN sport - what lovely cowls they will make!

Pout - MCN Sport
Look what else has made its way to the shop……these and lot’s more. Enjoy!

Caspian - Merino Single Ply

Summer of Love - Merino Bulky

Roman Holiday - Merino Superwash Fingering

Kensington - BFL Superwash (my original BFL base, back in stock…yay!)
Now, off to sweep up the dust bunnies Great Danes that have accumulated. Blogging isn’t the only thing that has suffered this past week.

That’s it. Monkeys are up next. There talking to me again. I have a little surprise that I will be emailing to all members of Plucky Classics - look for it in your in box tonight.
So, tell me. What are you favorite projects for this time of year?

I don’t know what to say except that I am overwhelmed with gratitude with the sweet, kind and understanding responses that I’ve received regarding the yarn base issue. Is it any wonder why I think you guys are so lovely? Again, I can’t thank you enough. Now I think I need to come up with some sort of fun cowl pattern for the sportweight version - what do you think?

On another note - Spring has totally and completely sprung around these parts (I know, it’s a little late, but this is the MidWest) and Mr. Plucky is hard at work on the patio garden. Don’t you just love a guy who works in the garden?

And, I realize this may come as a total shock, but I still knit! Really, I do. It’s not all yarn dyeing, yarn base angst, teen drivers and their Volvos and gardening. I am this closeto finishing…. well, can you guess? Hmmm. I’ll keep you waiting. Maybe I can finish it up tonight and share tomorrow. Then, back to the No Purl Monkey. Wouldn’t do to have that start talking to me again.
Still with me? Ok. One last thing - as requested, I dyed up a bunch of Summer of Love (in the MCN Sport Weight that I thought was fingering weight, but I digress) and it is now the shop. Which means that as soon as the fingering MCN arrives I will dye that up and let everyone that was interested know. In the meantime…. these lovelies are up for grabs.

These and lots of other lovelies have been added to the shop.

Hippie Chic - 100% Merino Superwash

Roman Holiday (Thank you Julie!) - 80/10/10 MCN Sport Weight
