The cowl is gorgeous (the yarn color is fabulous, looks great on you!)! I am such a loser, I have no opinions on sweater stuff – I have only knit one – doh!:)

i agree with wanna…cotton isnt known for it’s amazing bounce-back ability, so an extra decrease and a good tight ribbing will be your friend here. i might even make it a round or two shorter than “ideal” because the length may grow by the end of a wear…

but, you know, with ALL my sweater knowledge…(hee hee!) take what i say with a grain of salt.

and my vote for the yarn is anything that’s squishy and lovely. i love all kinds of colorways…theres a pattern for everything, so theres room in my stash for everything, hee!

I voted semi-solid…but you knew that.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the cowl and the sweater.
I’m sure that bad boy will stretch so I would go down a needle size for ribbing and do another decrease.

I’ve knit with that Blue Sky cotton before and it definitely expanded a bit on me, so you’re probably good with adding another decrease. My only other advice would be to go down a needle size for your ribbing. I wish I had done that on my cardigan; the ribbing didn’t quite have the elasticity that wool does, so it looks a little sloppy to me.

Love the cowl – perfect for this time of year. For the sweater, I was going to say it looks perfect now, but then you mentioned the cotton stretch factor, so maybe one more decrease would be better (but what do I know – LOL).
