Seriously ~

By | February 5, 2008

Busy.  Tired. Excited. Fidgety.  Intent. Thrilled. Anxious…. All in a good way. Wow, given  more time, wonder how many more adjectives I could come up with.

  • Uber basic sock – with a twist. Did a 64 st roll cuff and a new (to me) toe – The starburst (also new to me).
  • Yarn: sKnitches – colorway: Seriously (the grey stripe is my favorite part of the socks. Love!).
  • Needles: 1.5
  • One down, one to go.

You’re probably wondering why I’m in such a tizzy. Ok. Maybe you’re not wondering, but I’ll tell you anyway.  Much to my chagrin there are not 48 hours in a day or 14 days in a week…. Getting down to the wire, preparing for the cross country trip to Madrona. Need yarn skeined (don’t even get me started on the mechanical difficulties we are experiencing), tagged and labeled and I need more test knits done (which means the mate to the Seriously sock will have to wait. Not a big deal, but they are fun and I wanted to wear them).

Which brings me to…. Test knitters. Anyone interested? If so, please leave me a comment and we can chat. Free yarn in it for you. That and me singing your praises from the rooftops!

If I could get five or so takers…. goodness that would make my day!

**Edited to add** For all you curious ones out there – the announcement will be coming tomorrow.

I’d love to help you, Sarah. I just finished my Master’s degree and am not working right now, so knitting is mostly what I do!

I’d love to test knit. I’ve done some test knitting for other designers and have really enjoyed it. You can find me on ravelry, too. My id is: Christy. Original. I know.

Let me know what you need knitted and I’m happy to help! I could also help out with skeining or something if you like, being in the area. I’m happy to play with gorgeous yarn for a few hours!

I’ve got some free time right now and a lack of projects on the needles. I could totally help out with the test knitting. :)

What great socks! love the colors together – the red + white gray parts are very sock-monkey-esque. (wow, haven’t used a double hyphen in a word before…)

Good luck with your prepping & testing!

That sock is *so* cute! Love it.

I would also love to test knit for you, but it looks like you’ve gotten a ton of responses already! Oh, well. There’s always next time, right? :)

Christine on February 5, 2008 at 5:05 pm.

Hi, I’d offered before and you’d had enough people, and it looks like you have enough offers again, but depending on what you need, I might be able tohelp!

Hey there! I’d be happy to test knit — anytime, not just for these projects — and if you need help skeining/packing/labeling/whatevering, just send me an e-mail! I love to lend a hand. Not that I have any ulterior yarn-petting motives, or anything. . .

i’m only good for the moral
support, you would’t want my
“drop a stitch ways”.

Stacey on February 5, 2008 at 9:21 pm.

Wow, I was late to this party, huh?:) I would glady test knit but I will also be happy to sit on pins and needles and wait for this announcement – all very exciting!

Shawna on February 5, 2008 at 10:14 pm.

i would be more than happy to help you miss plucky:o)

Regina on February 6, 2008 at 12:34 am.

I can’t wait to hear the big news and about the long trip ahead. (Since I have never attempted a sock-I do not think I would qualify for being a tester. ;) )

I love the above sock by the way. I would be excited about wearing them as well.

Emily on February 6, 2008 at 4:54 am.

I’m a beginner sock knitter so if you’re interested in someone who is fairly new to the game, let me know. :)

stinkerbell on February 6, 2008 at 6:18 pm.

If you are still in need let me know :) And so glad you liked the new toe! I love it for the plain jane socks…
