A Contest ~

By | March 28, 2007

As I near my 100th comment, I  feel like mixing things up a little and having a contest. Now doesn’t that sound like fun?

Don’t worry, it’s an easy one. All you have to do is comment.  Really, just comment  - you can ask me questions (they don’t even have to be related to knitting/yarn or anything crafty), talk about the weather,  hobbies, tell me  the name of your dog, your kids, a favorite recipe. Really, anything. Nothing else to it.

Then, if you happen to be the 100th person to leave a comment, you’ll get a kicky little suprise from yours truly.

Let’s see, what should it be? Maybe some:

  • Sock yarn (a skein of Vesper – yep, Vesper)
  • More Yarn (a skein of Malabrigo  in Jewel Blue or Chocolate)
  • Book (Love Walked In  - such a good book, I accidentally purchased two copies!)
  • Chocolate
  • Coffee
  • And other miscellaneous goodies of my choosing just to keep it a surprise…..

How about I let you decide? Just pick from the list (thought it would be only fair to throw in some non-knitting goodies for my friends that visit who have not yet taken up the needles).

O.K. ~  start talking.

Hi, Plucky!

You know I comment whether I will be the 100th poster or not!

I really like the new format of the site. Also, thanks for sending me the sock info. I have to print it once I buy some more printer paper.

Hope things are well with you!

Um, hello free stuff for commenting on a blog I love. How hard. LOL!

Okay one quirky slighty OCD thing about me. I vaccum EVERY DAY. If I don’t I feel weird. Okay.

I found your contest via knitters treat. It looks like I’ve found a fellow malabrigo lover!

I leave comments, I blog, I’m kind and sweet but I am NEVER lucky in competitions nor will I get a prize for the first comment :( The question, what do you call you pets besides their proper names? Mine gets called all sorts when she’s been naughty….some rather rude words lol

Hey lady, just so you know, I want to borrw that book! I can’t believe you bought two, you silly goose!

Amanda vacuums every day, WOW!

Here’s something about me, today is my birthday, I’m 32! And all my brother said to me was, “How does it feel to be half-way to 64?”

Hi Sarah!

What a great idea for your 100th! (Aren’t you glad it’s not you’re 100th birthday? Although, if you’re as plucky at 100 as you are now, it will be awesome.)

Elaine had a great question about pet names. My first cat, Chester, had such personality that he had many pet names. It started out with Chester Cheese, then that got shortened to Cheese, which morphed to Cheese Taters to Tater Tot to Taters. (I’m lauging just remembering that cat!) And yes, this was all thanks to my DH. He has now nicknamed our dog Trinity. Don’t ask me where it came from, but he calls her Beef. He even calls our children by nicknames–although of that I’m not quite so fond! LOL

Happy birthday to Nicole!

I DON”T vacuum everyday, heehee, and I love Malabrigo too much. I have at least 15 skeins in the stash just waiting for the right project(s).
