Open House Part II ~

By | October 22, 2007

How fun is that chevron scarf?   (Hmmm, must work on my posture….)   Were it not for some very unseasonable temperatures I would have been modeling the scarves (I had my outfit all picked out so that it would match both the chevron and the opera scarf and I could switch on and off) but, for fear of completely expiring due to excitment, a touch of stress and total heat exhaustion, I had to stick with just displaying them.

Yarn-y goodness up close courtesy of Paula and her super spiffy new camera (actually, all photos in this post are courtesty of Paula and her spiffy camera).

Phew! That was a busy, busy place to be on Saturday. I met  so many  talented and fun knitters…. there was Mick  and Holly  and so many more…. (if you were there and we met, please leave me a comment, I would love to hear from you!).

Ok. Now for the links to the patterns used for the test knits and the lovely and generous ladies who knit them (in no particular order):

Again, I know I’ve said it before and I will say it again – there is no way, no how I could have done it  without your help. And, as soon as I find my camera (or, better yet, get a new camera) I will post more pictures of the rest of the test knits and I even have a couple that are still en route….. a Baby Surprise Jacket knit by Jenn  (a crafty scientist who works with Mr. Plucky), a Diamond Shawl from Anna.

And last, but certainly not least, a super big thank you to the ladies at Stitching Memories. They couldn’t have been sweeter or more helpful. Mary, Kelly J., Kelly “Y” and all the rest of the ladies (please forgive me, I am drawing a blank. Your name will come to me when I least expect it!).

Now that that is done, I was even able to cast on for a cute beret.

Up next: A contest (you know how I love those!) and more knitting content.

Sounds like a marvelous day! The Plucky Knitter Display is lovely. Now I’m trying to figure out which colors will work best for a chevron scarf.

Hi Sarah,
I love the yarn colors! I need another sport weight merino. Do you have anything besides the blue and pink on esty? I love the rum raisin, webster, persian rug, iris or anything close. I need to go with the purple a bought from you I want to make a chevron scarf.

Scrumptious yarn! I’m waiting for just the ‘right’ lace weight on your Etsy shop for it to be impossible for me to resist.

Please credit card, obey.

Oh no! My shawl did not make it in time for the Open House. I did not realize it was this weekend already. Oh well, your display looked gorgeous as it was. I wish I could have seen all the fiber goodness in person.

I cast on for the fingerless gloves with the Iris Merino (love it!) on Sunday, but alas, they must wait now that I had to frog my SSK socks…sigh…

Cute beret!

Hey Rockstar! I had to remind myself to sit up straight when I saw your note about posture…too funny. Happy for your success!

Your yarn is gorgeous as usual. It’s too bad it was too warm to wear the scarves.
