Really, It Isn’t Nepotism & A Recommendation

By | September 19, 2007

Shannon, my SIL (who has appeared on the site before, is a total sweet pea, went to Stitches Midwest with me and is just a great knitting buddy) was my 1000th comment! OK Shan – what would you like? You know where to find me, so how about you just come over and pick something out?

cashmere.jpg  Isaac Mizrahi for Target – 100% cashmere shawl collar cardigan.

Now, I am very well aware that this is a knitting blog, that knitters, generally speaking, of course, like to knit their own sweaters. But wouldn’t you say it is a fair assumption that  sometimes you don’t have the time to knit an entire sweater, are afraid  or just plain don’t want to?

So, when I find a sweater that is a good deal and cute to boot, well, I have to share.   It’s cashmere –  and not the cheap thin cashmere either. I would call it a good, solid middle of the road quality cashmere. And for the price – definitely a great deal. Comes in quite a few colors (black, brown, charcoal, berry and a cream, I believe).   Did I mention that it is extremely  flattering? Because it sure it. Oh, and it looks really cute without the tie too.

Oh that is a super cute sweater! I will have to go to Target tomorrow to see if they have any in stock…you gotta jump on these things while you can! ;-)

I bought a cashmere sweater from Target two years ago – I think it was Isaac Mizrahi – anyhow it has held up very well being machine washed. It has pilled a little bit, but that was expected with cheaper cashmere. And I love it!!

I commented on the previous post..oops. So anyway I can’t believe I won!!!! That is a pretty sweater. I will probably never knit an adult sweater so if it’s inexpensive…

How funny that your SIL won!!! I think that’s great! And a pretty sweater, in cashmere, that’s reasonably priced and won’t take me 3+ years to knit? That sounds like a dream.
