It’s Wednesday Already ~

Things I’m loving today~
- A new and much brighter laptop screen(therefore a new laptop). Until we got the new one I had no idea how terribly dim the old screen was.
- The weather. It’s finally sunny and breezy.
- The fact that I have buckets of yarn bases in stock, which means little to no scrambling this month. Just lot’s and lot’s of steady dyeing time.
- Knitting (can you believe it? I sure can’t) on my Melody and Charade socks (yes I started another project. Apparently that’s what I do – as for finishing, well you can be sure I’ll yell it from the rooftops if I actually finish a project).
Few pics from our little road trip last week/weekend.

Plucky Knitter – MCN Sport – Honey Wilkes (on the way home from NY/NJ stuck in traffic)

Last week we had an impromptu flight/road trip home from NY – here S is taking pics (what’s new?) in Grand Central Station.

Times Square

And, of course, cupcakes. Just wish we would have had time to check out Crumbs and Two Little Reds Hens. They come highly recommended. But, with a mere 24 hours to spend in NYC, we were doing good to stumble across Magnolias.

In my humble estimation, Crumbs isn’t all that special. I know it’s a matter of taste, but for me, cupcakes should be more than a mere showcase for frosting. Too many bakeries don’t pay much attention to the cake itself and only care about the topping. There are so many amazing bakeries in NYC, many of them downtown. Let me know the next time you’re coming to NY and I’ll send you a list of restaurants, bakeries, food shops etc of whatever you may be looking for. Food is my other all-consuming passion besides fiber (and my kids, of course). Of course, I’d be happy to be your tour guide, too!

Do ya mean that when you open your own business, that is your passion, you lose the time to practice your passion?

For a second there I thought you were actually knitting while driving because I have seen you eat blueberry pancakes while knitting too {not quite as dangerous} What kind of cupcake did you get?

Hee hee, I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one who knits in traffic

Magnolia is the best! I’ve never been to that location. Looks very lush. Only been to the original downtown. Regardless, I’m sure the cupcakes are squooshy and yummy across the board.
