Madison Recap ~
Phew. A complete whirlwind. I’m a bit at a loss for words, so how about I let the pictures do most of the talking? Sound good? Ok.Let’s get started:

Mound O’ 2ply Cashmere. This seemed to be a big hit (due to the fact that Beth was modeling the cowl) Just perfect for the Aspen Cowl. Have you seen Macoco’s test knit? Soft, lightweight and warm.

JenCh1n’s Sassymetrical (with a modification or two, such as slightly longer sleeves). It could not have been more perfect. Just not possible.
Beth modeling the Aspen Cowl. She has it wrapped around her neck twice.
That Beth, my ever so helpful assistant. What would I have done without her? She had a blast and is already plotting what show I, I mean we, should attend next. I would be totally remiss if I didn’t tell you about Jane. What a sweetie pie. She was at my booth at 8:00 a.m. sharp and, of course, I was still scrambling (rule number one of vending at a show – there is always more work than you plan for) and she graciously offered to help. Thank you Jane! And Jeanette, oh Jeanette (I would link to her, but I can’t find her business card at the moment (it’s here somewhere, I know it). Thank you Jeanette!

Do you spy a Candle Flame Cowl? Yes, right there in front of the owl mitts. It’s so lovely. Thank you Cynthia!!

Ceylan’s Baudelaire Socks. They are so gorgeous! And, you can’t see them very well in this picture, but there are some stunning fingerless mitts that the ever sweet Christine knit as a sample for the show.

Chrissy first time knitting with lace. Can you believe that?! It’s stunning!

And Jen’s Give-A-Hoot mittens. What a stir they caused!
Stacey from Peaknit!I was so excited to meet Stacey face-to-face.
The dress. Oh the dress. My great-grandmother made that dress (circa 1945) for my Aunt Janice. The little velvet circles and rhinestones on the skirt, the chocolate sprinkles on the whole dress.

If it’s March then it’s time for Tulips.

Early Light – Bulky Cashmere.
I have several more pictures of test knits to share with you – must get some great photos to do them justice as they are just too lovely for words. To all my test knitters…. thank you, thank you, thank you! And, to Amanda for organizing them for me, you know I couldn’t have done that without you!
Perhaps you may be wondering when the next shop update will occur. How does today, Monday, March 16th at 9:00 p.m. Eastern sound?
Feel like there are so many things I’m forgetting to mention. Don’t be surprised if there is a Madison Recap Part II.

It was so awesome to meet you Sarah! I literally fondled my new cashmere (my first laceweight ever, I’m so excited) for most of Saturday night. (My husband Joe was also forced to do some cashmere gropping, and his response was, “Wow, that *is* soft!” From him, that’s a huge compliment.) Thanks for coming to Madison!

Hi!! I am so happy I found out about you from the show! I love love love everything you have and can’t wait until I have money to buy more (The cashmere is SO amazing). I just have a question about how long the toast are supposed to be? I definitely forgot to split the yarn beforehand and am now maybe seven inches into one of them. While your blog said around 11 inches I don’t quite remember them being so long.
Thanks so much,
One of the cute girls

Enjoyed meeting you at the show on Saturday. I would love to knit the fingerless mittens you had there but you couldn’t remember the pattern. If you know it would you please post it.
Love my yarn I got.
