If only life were as simple ~

May 1st, 2008 by Sarah

as a ball of tangled yarn. WOW. You guys really, really like to detangle. I wished I had a tangled skein for each of you, but, alas, I have only two (no worries, there’s always more where these came from!). Would the Barefoot Rooster and Hannah please contact me with your mailing address? I have some tangled yarn to send you!

Coming up - Free cowl pattern! (Just as soon as I figure out how to get this into PDF format so that you can download….or, if anyone just wants to help a girl out and tell me….).

I use the following to convert my Microsoft Word documents to PDFs
    http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp

I am not sure what type of document you are trying to convert from but a search with the file ext. e.g. “free .doc to .pdf converter” should give you a lot of results.

i second what essknits said. i’ve used “primoPDF” before, and it converts word documents to PDF files by “printing.” basically you hit print, but you select primoPDF as your printer” “and it creates the file on your hard drive from the word document!

    Hey Plucky!

I’ve used this site to convert any MS Office document into a PDF. It’s free to use.

Cool! I’ve been searching for a cowl pattern to use when my Plucky DK yarn arrives. I found patterns for every weight but DK. From the picture, it looks promising.

Cool! I’ve been looking for a cowl pattern for when my Plucky DK yarn arrives. I can find patterns for every other weight yarn. From the picture it looks like this pattern might work.

Okay - posted that twice. Oops.

If you’re on a Mac, the print dialogue box should have a “save as PDF” option in a dropdown menu.

On a PC, not as sure. At work, my PC has Adobe Reader installed and this includes a utility to “print to PDF” as well.

I know you’ve already gotten tons of help of the pdf thing, but I can convert it for you if you need me to. I can’t remember where I got it, but I have a program on my pc where I can print any file as a pdf. :) I’d be happy to do it for you!!

  13. Stacey Says:

  14. Kirsten Says:

If you e-mail the document to me I’d be happy to e-mail a PDF to you.
